Curatorial Project, 2016.
New Grounds is a group exhibition exploring the impact of geographical place on one's identity. Media was restricted to works on paper, no greater than 11"x14".
As a visiting curator for The Archive Space Project, the chosen theme was a response to the collective's recent transition towards an internationally-focused curatorial practice. The group show was installed at the International Institute for Contemporary Art and Theory in Mangalia, Romania. Three artists-in-residence at the Institute: Zinnia Naqvi, Benjamin Saint Maxent, and Essi Ojanpera each made a piece in response to the show's theme. Images below by Zinnia Naqvi
