Visiting Curator

International Institute for Contemporary Art and Theory, Mangalia, RO

As a visiting curator with the International Institute of Contemporary Art and Theory, I organized an exhibition for the Institute’s first summer residency program. Displayed in the Institute’s humble living room space, the exhibition featured small works on paper exploring geographical place and identity. Works on paper were limited to no larger than a carry-on luggage. Artists in Residence were asked to then respond to the installed images, contributing their own sculptures and installations to the show.

Participating artists: April Behnke, Anna Campbell, Jennifer Day, Betsyann Duval, Susan Hoffman Fishman, Elizabeth Hoy, Tyler Kline, Eric Mack, Alva Mooses, Zinnia Naqvi, Essi Ojanperä, Benjamin Saint-Maxent, Alice Raymond

Co-curated with Tyler Kline

University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA

In collaboration with the Hamilton Hall Public Arts Initiative at the University of the Arts, I co-curated a series of pop-up video gaming events with Tyler Kline. Event programming focused on highlighting local game developers and DIY design methods, while Kline’s sculptural installation, inspired by game theory, created a dynamic platform for both projection and play. Participating artists and collectives: Lee Tusman, Jason Corbett, and Cleaversoft

Curated by Daniel Eisenberg and Ellen Rothenberg, RE:WORKING LABOR aims to produce not one conversation, but overlapping conversations—perspectives that touch one another—with representations of contemporary labor that shift in scale and scope, yet speak to each other in fundamental ways. The exhibition featured an integrated program of lectures, performances, and film screenings.
